Artist Statement
I paint in oils using a traditional approach to the figure; a lot of my work is done in the life room
Then in the studio I allow the paint to take on a life of its own, although obviously abstract I still feel a very human and alive presence in my work.
I also work as a jazz singer and I am sure that this influences the movement and rhythm in my work.
